Introduction to the academic study of fairy tales and folklore. Explore the rich tapestry of Slavic fairy tales and folklore, delving into the magical world of Baba Yaga, the Firebird, and Mother Moist Earth. Discover how these timeless stories reflect the ancient beliefs, rituals, and values of Slavic peoples. From shape-shifting sorcerers and fearsome dragons to enigmatic vampires, this course offers an academic journey through the mythic and symbolic landscapes that have shaped Slavic cultural heritage.
