Overview of class

Fundamentals of Directing is a survey course that will introduce students to the responsibilities and tasks of a director and the process of taking a play from the page to the stage. Through engaging with a variety of directing tools and techniques, students will practice crafting their unique and personal point of views on a play, collaborating with other artists, viewing and analyzing their own work and that of others, and composing scenework. No prior directing experience is required.
