Overview of class
Farce is a broad form of comedy that uses exaggeration, physical humor, and deliberate absurdity to celebrate the ridiculous nature of human behavior. A workplace farce does this by exploiting the faults, inconsistencies, and oddities of various professions. In this course, students will read and watch examples of the genre and ultimately craft a short workplace farce of their own. Open to students of any year, major, and experience level. No permission number required. Meets Tuesday from 12-2:50 p.m. Professor: Laura Schellhardt
