Overview of class

In this class, we will examine the current process of pitching, outlining, and writing a television series, and take an idea from the conception of characters and "world," through the creation of a series format and a detailed pitch.

There will be weekly reading and writing assignments, and each student will complete a series format (sometimes called "pitch pages") and present it in several stages to the class.

Class Materials (Required)

• Scripts and screenings will be available in class, on library reserve, and online.
• Working computer, internet access, NU email/account, word processing program, xeroxing of materials required for class discussions.
