Overview of class

Explores practices, themes, and debates in performance studies including making/adapting performance and enacting performance as research method. We'll engage history and theory via studies in performance art, theatre, music, dance, pop culture, and protest: from Broadway musicals, Beyoncé, and Disney theme parks, through to Yoko Ono, Rafa Esparza, political spectacle, and activist street action.
