Overview of class

If "talk is cheap," is movement expensive? This class asks how we, as performers, theatre-makers, and choreographers invest in these "cheap" and "expensive" modes of communication. Using ideas and methods from devising, choreography, and physical theatre, students will make work that lives between scripted theatre and un-scripted choreography. It will be work inspired by the multiple ways that movement and text can clash, co-exist, and shape each other.
