Registration Requirements

Chamber music at Bienen is defined as a small ensemble consisting of 3 or more players. Exceptions may be granted by the Coordinator for ensembles that include double bass, harp, or guitar. String students are permitted to participate in only one chamber music group per quarter. Exceptions will be considered only for violists and cellists; prior approval from the Coordinator is required. Double bassists, harpists, and guitarists need the approval of the principal teacher to participate in mixed chamber music. Students must register for the correct course and section number to avoid receiving a failing grade.  Please reach out to Prof. Cho for additional requirements regarding Ensemble Formation. 

Teaching Method

Regular coaching and minimum weekly rehearsal requirements. 

Evaluation Method

Final grades are based on preparation and progress, engagement, final performance, and participation.
