Overview of class

This class goes beyond the basics of audio journalism to learn how to tell stories with sound. Lean in on the power of the human voice and create scenes that transport audiences into the pieces you create. Students will learn how to pitch stories, report for audio and edit. Assignments include creating a 2-way interview and an audio news feature.

Registration Requirements

Pre req: Student should have taken JOUR 390-0 Podcasting, 322, 312, 323 and 368 or have audio experience. Permission from instructor required for enrollment if pre-reqs not met. Students should email Professor Moore (natalie-moore@northwestern.edu) with a one paragraph description of their audio experience and a link to one of their best produced audio stories.
