Overview of class

From Socrates to School of Rock, we'll work with a broad range of texts to explore notions of goodness in education: What does it mean to have a good education? Can goodness be taught? What do we mean by a good teacher, a good student, a good school? We'll also consider the relationship between school
and the larger society as we work toward articulating our own philosophies of education.

These essential questions will guide our course and we will consult a broad range of texts in different genres and media.
