Overview of class

Data Storytelling helps students learn how to fashion and present persuasive data-driven narratives. Data storytelling involves creating compelling stories from datasets and using those stories to inform and persuade stakeholders. Students enrolled in the course should be comfortable with the processes of collecting, analyzing, and displaying data but want to improve their ability to communicate to executive audiences. Although this is not a class in how to make nice charts, we will spend time in the class discussing why some charts are more effective than others in helping to tell and support a story.
