Overview of class

This course advances students' Spanish proficiency by building on their existing skills across contexts. Students strengthen oral and written communication, develop awareness of formal registers, and deepen pride in their linguistic and cultural heritage to express themselves more effectively and confidently. This course is for heritage learners, equivalent to SPAN 125. Offered in fall only. Prerequisite: Spanish heritage learners with an AP score of 3 or sufficient score on the Spanish Language Placement Exam.

Prerequisite: Spanish heritage learners with an AP score of 3 or sufficient score on the Spanish Language Placement Exam.

Enrollment Requirements

Enrollment Requirements: Registration for Majors and Minors in either Spanish or Portuguese until the end of preregistration, after which time enrollment will be open to everyone who has taken the prerequisite. Prerequisite: Spanish heritage learners with an AP score of 3 or sufficient score on the Spanish Language Placement Exam. Cannot recieve credit for both SPANISH 125-0 and 127-0.
