Overview of class
Intermediate Russian 102-1 is the first part in a three-quarter sequence focusing on modern Russian language and culture. Students will build their vocabulary and further develop all language skills: reading, listening, speaking, and writing. We will work with a modern blended textbook and a variety of authentic materials. Most of the class time is devoted to practice in conversation and discussions. This course is a firm foundation for more advanced courses, as well as great preparation for students going abroad. In addition to learning about Russian daily life today, students will explore different aspects of Russian culture.
