Overview of class

Writing research proposals is a critical part of academic knowledge production—both in terms of designing an impactful, feasible, and ethical study, as well as applying to funders for financial support. The course aims to guide students through the process of writing scientific research proposals. It is designed for students in their 3rd year of the Anthropology PhD program. Milestones throughout the quarter will provide structure for drafting a complete research proposal, on a topic of the student's choosing, by the end of the quarter.
