Overview of class

Through weekly, in class group instruction utilizing lecture, group exercises and individual in-class coaching, we'll work together to build a/continue to build a foundation of vocal technique. The primary course objective is to improve your individual instrument, knowledge and practice of proper vocal pedagogy and technique, and approach to singing. Emphasis in class will be placed upon strengthening technique, improving confidence to ensure the transference of proper technique in performance, and application of technique to repertoire. Students will also continue to build musicianship skills and their understanding and assimilation of vocal technique.

Registration Requirements

"No Music Theatre Certificate Students. Theatre majors may register without a permission number. Permission number required to repeat for credit.

Enrollment Requirements

Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisite: Must be a Theatre major to enroll except Music Theatre Certificate students are not allowed. All other students and students who have already taken THEATRE 151-0 must receive a permission number from the department to enroll.
