Overview of class
In this course, students will learn text analysis techniques to bring a play to life through rhetoric and vocal technique. As a class, we will create a "Season" of plays for the quarter and engage in both OPEN and CLOSED staged readings. Performance days will allow other students to comment on the work and allow the reader to practice how to modulate the emotional life, voice, and performance while focusing on language to help both the playwright and the audience come along auditorily.
