Overview of class

This practice-based course introduces students to the Lucid Body psychophysical acting process, which cultivates dynamic connections between breath, body, voice, and text. Students build skills to bring characters to life, work in imaginative worlds, and discover new possibilities. This course emphasizes grounding practices, consent-forward collaboration, and the holistic growth of each actor.

Registration Requirements

This class is a pre-requisite for Professor Ellis' THEATRE 370 Special Topics: Lucid Body and Character course.

Class Materials (Required)

Movement clothes ($20), water bottle ($5), journal ($5). The Lucid Body by Fay Simpson ($12). Optional: yoga mat and block. $26-50
