Overview of class

Group instruction in vocal musical theatre technique and repertoire. This is a highly participatory class appropriate for all levels of singing experience and ability. You will be singing as a group or individually in every class session. The primary course objective is to improve your individual instrument and approach to singing, so that you can more fully express yourself as a singing artist. Methods of instruction included technical voice exercises, group somatic and vocal work, individual repertoire work, song memorization, and in-class performances. The class culminates with a final performance at the end of the quarter to showcase in-class learning.

Registration Requirements

No Music Theatre Certificate Students. Theatre majors may register without a permission number. Permission number required to repeat for credit.

3-Ring Binder, Printed Sheet Music, Pencil, Water $1-25

Enrollment Requirements

Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisite: Must be a Theatre major to enroll except Music Theatre Certificate students are not allowed. All other students and students who have already taken THEATRE 151-0 must receive a permission number from the department to enroll.
