Overview of class
This is an advanced beginner to intermediate movement class, designed to facilitate concepts that will deepen the potential for expression in the moving body in performance practice, using weight, space, time and intention, through Spiral Body Techniques®. SBT® is the dance and movement framework developed by choreographer Molly Shanahan which promotes increasingly complicated spiral and luscious whole-self-moving expression by increasing somatic awareness through imagery and anatomical experiencing. We will explore generative dance-making processes, and finish the quarter with a performance of the work we've co-created.
