Overview of class

How do digital platforms, everyday technologies, and online environments shape human communication? This course introduces students to communication and technology through three perspectives: design, psychology, and sociology. Students will explore how technologies are designed, how people interact and collaborate in mediated environments, and how broader social and institutional structures influence those interactions. The course also serves as a foundation for students interested in the Digital Media: Behavior & Design Area of Study within Communication Studies.
