Overview of class
This course introduces the student to the basic research concepts, methods, and tools used to design, conduct, and interpret empirical studies in communication and other fields. The course will survey the steps of the research process; introduce students to foundational social science concepts and vocabulary; and develop students' understanding of and ability to use quantitative and qualitative research methods.
