Overview of class

The course will explore the use of arbitration as a method of resolving both domestic and international commercial disputes, as well disputes in the sports and entertainment industries.

Learning Objectives

The student will learn the advantages and disadvantages of arbitration as a method of dispute resolution, as well as the nature of the arbitral process and key issues in obtaining and enforcing arbitral awards.

Evaluation Method

60% paper; 30% class participations and presentations; and 10% attendance
