Overview of class
Leadership looks at how you can lead an organization and manage well. The course first looks at how students inspire and communicate publicly, a central aspect of leadership. The course then looks at organizational development, the skills needed to run organizations, manage people, delegate well, run meetings, create business plans, and manage innovation for growth. Students use readings, role-playing, and discussion to improve their experience with managing and overseeing talent, organization, economics and finance, accountability and business planning. The course will help students learn to communicate ideas, become self-aware of areas of development, participate effectively in organizations, develop business acumen, refresh their knowledge of economics and finance without exams, and create and evaluate growth plans for businesses. Students who wish to lead organizations or become directors of other organizations should ensure they have all the skills discussed in this course.
