Overview of class
Third course in a three-quarter sequence in Intermediate Spanish. Further development of communicative proficiency with an emphasis on the functional use of Spanish and cultural content and reflection at the Intermediate Mid proficiency level. Prerequisite: SPANISH 121-2 + must reach out to instructor for permission number.
Section 38 Special Topic: Spanish for Heritage Language Learners
This section of SPAN 121-3 is designed for heritage language learners of Spanish (HLLs)—students who were often exposed to Spanish at home or in community contexts and who feel a personal, cultural, and emotional connection to the language. Please feel free to reach out to the instructor with any questions about placement in this course.

Enrollment Requirements: Registration for Majors and Minors in either Spanish or Portuguese until the end of preregistration, after which time enrollment will be open to everyone who has taken the prerequisite.
Prerequisite: Students must currently be enrolled in or have taken and passed Spanish 121-2 or have sufficient placement score.
