Overview of class

The goal of this course is to familiarize students with basic research methods in Psychology. This includes learning how to design, conduct, analyze, present, and critique research. We will cover a range of topics this quarter, from the scientific method and research design to ethical practices, statistical analyses, and more. To gain firsthand experience with the research process, students will complete three projects throughout the course (see the assignments for details). Though the focus of the course will be on general psychology, we are excited to see what interests you all bring to the table! It is our hope that students will leave the course more engaged with and knowledgeable about the psychology that occurs around us every day.
