Overview of class
Continuing from GIS Level 1, this course focuses on advanced theories and methods of geographic information systems (GIS). Topics include network analysis, geostatistical analysis, cluster and hot-spot analysis, space-time analysis, 3D visualization, remote sensing data integration and analysis, and Python programming for GIS. Students complete several group projects and a final project, where they apply GIS to solve real world problems.

Pre-Requisite: GIS 1, or instructor permission.

Enrollment Requirements: Pre-registration is reserved for Environmental Sciences, Earth and Planetary Sciences, and Environmental Policy and Culture majors and minors.
Prerequisite: EARTH 361-1 - GIS Level 1 (or former) or instructor approval.
