Overview of class

This course will explore how artists understand and develop creative process today. Using case studies from art, film, and popular culture, students will examine ideas about inspiration, creativity, and making. They will also consider how these ideas are shaped by current debates around aesthetic theory, AI, authorship, and creative ownership. The course will combine short lectures, group discussion, and hands-on making. Assignments will include leading class discussions, keeping a reflective journal, and presenting a final project.
