Overview of class

This advanced costume design course will focus on the development of expressive design concepts and characterizations in response to the specified non-realism genre. Students will be introduced to workflows for creation of original costume design solutions and characterizations for non-realism genre. The process will include analysis and interpretation of dramatic text, historical and creative research; expressive drawing and painting techniques using both analogue and digital artistic mediums. Throughout this course and building on skills learned in 321-1, students will cultivate a work-flow for developing well rounded and expressive costume design solutions.
