Overview of class

The first year of the acting sequence— "Actor as Collaborator, Creator, and Communicator"— develops the actor's collaborative and creative capacities while using the self as the principal communicating instrument. The primary creative responsibility of the actor is to generate believable human behavior within the specific world of each play. Fundamentals include Ensemble-Building, Collaborative and Individual Creation, Sensory Perception & Response, Observation, Imagination, Action, Presentation of Self, Improvisation, Partnering, Text Analysis, Embodiment, Vocalization, World-building, and Character Creation.
