Overview of class
An overview of American television's social, industrial, and aesthetic history from its origins in mid-20th-century broadcasting to the contemporary era of nichecasting and streaming.
Learning Objectives
Students will be able to create a historical research paper and hone skills for the analysis of television programs. Students will have a deeper understanding of how and why television has changed over time.
