Overview of class
Voguing is a highly stylized dance originating in the Black and Latinx LGBTQ+ ballroom culture of Harlem, inspired by poses in Vogue magazine, with sharp, angular movements, dramatic poses, and storytelling through fluid, exaggerated gestures. This introductory movement course will examine the practices associated with voguing, competition, battling, improvisation, and gestural play.

Enrollment Requirements: This class is restricted to Dance majors/minors & Music Theatre Certificate students during pre-registration, after which time enrollment will be open to everyone who has taken the prerequisites (when pre-reqs are applicable) or have placed in the level
