Overview of class
IMC Practicum: Working with Teams and Tools will provide a foundation of frameworks, skills, and tactics needed to lead and succeed in contemporary organizations. Specifically, the course will focus on a) ways individuals can utilize data about, and knowledge of, stakeholders to develop evidence-based, theory-driven approaches to working with others; and b) hand-on experience with key elements of the modern marketing technology stack. The course is divided into two phases, the first focused on developing relational and interactional skills, and the second dedicated to technical and translational proficiencies. Over the course of the quarter students will engage in exercises to identify individual strengths, learn from the success and failures of experienced professionals and organizations, and develop practical skills applicable to ongoing career development.
