Overview of class
This course offers a comprehensive introduction to the study of psychological trauma, from its historical roots to cutting-edge treatment and research. Students will explore the definitions, neurobiological and cognitive underpinnings, diagnostic frameworks, and treatments for trauma-related disorders. The course will cover the foundations of trauma, trauma reactions and diagnosis, trauma treatment and prevention, and future directions in research and treatment innovation.
