Overview of class

The primary goals of this seminar are:
• To expand our understanding of the psychological issues involved in societal challenges regarding sustainability and the climate crisis
• To appreciate the value of basic theory in conducting applied research while also appreciating the value of applied concerns in developing important theories and establishing scientific credibility
• To develop research ideas that hold the promise of making meaningful contributions to addressing the climate crisis through political and personal action.
