Course Title: The Political Problem of Climate Change

The problem of climate change is a predominantly political problem, involving dynamics of power, aversive tradeoffs, struggles over the distribution of losses and gains, and navigation of our responsibilities to others around us as well as those who are geographically and temporally distant. In this class we will examine multiple dimensions of the political problem of climate change, considering the role of public opinion, partisanship, climate activism, interested actors, and other topics.
