Overview of class

What are minds and what do they do? In this course, we will survey contemporary work in the philosophy of mind that navigates this question in one way or another. The topics covered will be decided upon during the first day of class by the students in coordination with the instructor. Among others, possible topics include emotion, event cognition, the perception/cognition boundary, object files, mindreading, representational format, and attention.
