Overview of class
Course title: Chicago Environmental Justice
The first part of the course will cover the history of the environmental justice movement in the US, including some of the movement's main objectives, and review community case studies both successful and unsuccessful. In the second half of the class, we will focus on environmental justice movements in the Chicago area. We will rely on articles, field trips and guest speakers to get an on-the-ground grasp of EJ movements in Chicagoland.
