Overview of class

This practice-based course explores contemporary movement methodologies that enhance acting by integrating the body, breath, voice, and text. Students will build physical transformation skills through the Lucid Body psychophysical technique. Emphasis is placed on embodying character, cultivating a dynamic connection between physicality and performance. Each class begins with a detailed yoga warm-up and includes exercises that engage the body-mind connection through physical theatre and modern dance practices. Actors build self-awareness and expand beyond habitual responses to increase their range. Special attention is paid to emotional regulation tools, consent-forward collaboration, and the holistic development of each actor.
