Overview of class
This course will increase embodiment (somatic awareness of potential for moving expression); the expressive potential of the physical and emotional fascia connecting our performed selves and our performance practices. We will foster emergence of new complexities of awareness, and potentiate fresh engagement with our remembered and improvised performed practices of action: movement, speech, and song. Original movement studies, characters, and scene work will emerge from existing and improvised texts, including script(s), songs, Action Theater, Bartenieff Fundamentals, and partner work.
