Overview of class

This course introduces students to foundational production and post-production concepts and techniques through a series of hands-on projects. Through lectures, labs, screenings, readings, discussions, and individual and group assignments, students will develop the basic skills needed to create a range of media projects. Because our filmmaking practice doesn't exist in isolation, we will also critically interrogate contemporary artistic and film industry practices, including how they are affected by race, gender, and class.
