Overview of class

This course offers an introduction to the foundational principles of dancemaking, exploring dance as a dynamic medium for expressing human experience and cultural identity. Through creative practice and critical study, students will engage with various methods for developing content, form, and context in their dance compositions. Emphasis will be placed on cultivating individual creative processes, building a personal movement vocabulary, and refining the ability to articulate artistic choices and outcomes.

Enrollment Requirements: This class is restricted to Dance majors/minors & Music Theatre Certificate students during pre-registration, after which time enrollment will be open to everyone who has taken the prerequisites (when pre-reqs are applicable) or have placed in the level
