Overview of class

Explore the dynamic world of entertainment and learn how creatives make, market, sell, and distribute their work across various disciplines, including media, streaming, film, television, live performance, and video games. The course examines the methods of financing creativity from the beginning start-up and the independent creators to the large multi-national media companies. It offers views of the production process and then the development of multiple income streams from the respective creative properties. Media strategies are considered, including the use of Artificial Intelligence for optimizing the desired outcomes. This course also looks at challenges faced by new voices and recent entrants. Open to sophomores and above.
