Overview of class

This weekly colloquium is intended to be a space for being in community to discuss and address issues, experiences, and questions that may arise during the student teaching experience. This weekly seminar is foremost a chance to be in conversation with your peers who are undergoing the same process. Emphasis is placed upon developing attributes of successful music educators in a professional learning community. Further practical matters, such as preparing documents when applying for jobs, will also be addressed. Completing the WildcatTPA will be a priority.

Registration Requirements

Must have informed the department of one's intent to student teach the Fall prior to the student teaching experience and concurrent enrolment in the seminar.

• Demonstrate progress in your capacitates as a music educator
• Reliably communicate via email or phone
• Engage in self-reflexive practice
• Actively participate in a professional learning community
• Complete the WildcatTPA requirement for licensure
