MATH 511-1: Topics in Analysis
Instructor: Xiumin Du
Textbook: No textbook required. I will very loosely follow Wolff's "Lectures in harmonic analysis".
Prerequisite: Real analysis is recommended.
Course Description: In this course, we'll cover some classic topics in harmonic analysis, including Fourier transform, interpolation, tempered distributions, Hilbert transform, Calderon-Zygmund singular integral operators, Littlewood-Paley theory and multipliers, and stationary phase. If time permits, we'll also briefly discuss Falconer distance set problem, Fourier restriction and Kakeya conjecture.
