ACTING FRENCH

Use of dramatic scenes, dialogues, and performance to help students improve their language skills and develop their interpretive, interpersonal, and intercultural competences at the Intermediate Mid/High level.

French 204: Acting French brings French language and culture to life through performance.

Registration Requirements

Interpersonal competence
- Students will build confidence in speaking French through special emphasis on diction, rhythm, pronunciation, inflection, intonation, and body language.

Interpretive competence
 - Students will develop their ability to follow and understand the main message in texts and in conversations.

Intercultural competence
- Students will gain exposure to French theater and French popular culture

- Students will develop their ability to converse in familiar situations and show awareness and interest in cultural similarities and differences.

Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisite: Students must have completed FRENCH 121-3, FRENCH 125-3, or FRENCH 201-0. Other students may register with instructor permission.
