Overview of class
A discussion of why we want to "do good"; how to try to do good (and why problems exist in the first place); and, how to know if you did good. Applications to public policy as well as personal life.

Teaching Method
Two 80-minute lectures per week.
Evaluation Method
Short (<1 page) writing assignments throughout the quarter: 30%
Midterm: 20%
Charity assessment assignments: 20%
Final Exam: 30%
