Overview of class

This course introduces questions and empirical research in the economics of education. Topics include the returns to schooling, the individual decision to invest in education, the determinants of school quality (in particular class size, teacher quality, and instruction modality), the effect of education on economic growth, matching algorithms as applied to educational settings, and public policies related to education.
