Overview of class

Overview of potential etiologies and characteristics of language disorders in children from infancy through adolescence. Focus on assessment, diagnosis, and effective treatment of children with specific language impairments, autism spectrum disorders, and cognitively based language impairments as well as the interplay between language, learning, and literacy. Emphasis on the integration of normative data, scientific knowledge, and clinical practice.
