Overview of class

In this course, you will build on your foundational data journalism skills to master the art of finding, acquiring, analyzing, and presenting data with a focus on enterprise reporting. Learn to identify and evaluate the credibility and accuracy of data sources and uncover newsworthy information that can lead to groundbreaking stories. You'll gain hands-on experience in filing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, understanding complex data structures and formats, and cleaning up messy data for analysis. You will also learn how to develop advanced interactive data visualizations.
