Overview of class

This is the second graduate course in statistical physics. We will cover nonstandard topics such as the Jarzynski (in)equality, photosynthesis, isotope separation, condensation islands in crystal growth, and conservation-laws based discussion of hydrodynamics. The course will be run as a moderately advanced graduate seminar.

Completion of Physics 416 is required.
