Overview of class
This class will investigate the mechanisms of morphogenesis in development. The class will explore the overarching principles and the nanoscale machines that create the mechanical forces that create organs and the diversity of organism shape during development. The experimental approaches that brought the principles and mechanisms to light will also be explored. This class will complement classes that cover signaling and logic systems that pattern morphogenesis.
